Cakes for Hari Raya 2008

As usual we prepared our own cakes this year because the family enjoyed the atmosphere of working together while mixing and baking the cakes. This year, our "Kek Batik" remained as the family's favourite and our signature cake. If you wanna know how good the "Kek Batik" is, well... you have to come over and taste it yourself.

We also tried to bake a few "kek lapis". We were glad this year's "kek lapis" turned out to be better than last year. Improved dah, I think. The new receipe book really helped and of course we get a few tips from our mentor in Sg Tilong. Thanks to her. Like in previous years, me and my spontaneous imagination created my own recipies, designs and colours. This year, we made the Double Oreo Cake, Oreo Plus Cake and for those health-conscious visitors we have prepared the "Kek Lapis Oat". Menjadi plang, tapi nyaman atau inda... its for you to grade. kalau inda nyaman, diam-diam saja... hahaaa
