Jollibee Tutong opens

Jollibee opened it new branch in Tutong on Friday 26th October 2007. The whole family has been looking forward to this day, i.e. since the news/signs about it appeared more than a month ago. We love Jollibee foods and would go all the way to Yayasan, Delima, the Mall or Utama Bowling branches to enjoy their cheezy fries, chicken curry, beef burger, chicken burger, spaghetti, chickenjoy, pearl coolers, etc. We just hope the service at this new branch is on par if not surpass the services given by the other branches.

For the Grand Opening at Tutong, there will be fabulous prizes to be won, free balloons and mascot appearances for the first 3 days. On opening day itself, free gifts have been given to the 1st 20 customers.

We came in late. Kraja wa. So no free gifts, no more free balloons and we missed the mascot appearance. We only get 2 fabulous prizes from the pick & win counter.

As published in Borneo Bulletin, the times for mascot appearances will be:
Oct 26 - 10am & 4pm, Oct 27 & 28 - 12nn & 5.30pm

Jollibee is one of the Philippines' phenomenal business success stories. Starting in 1975 as a two-branch ice cream parlor, it later expanded its menu to include hot sandwiches and other meals. With encouraging success, Jollibee Foods Corporation was incorporated in 1978 with seven outlets to fully explore the possibilities of a hamburger concept. Thus was born the company that revolutionized the fast food industry in the Philippines.

In 1984, Jollibee reached the P500 million sales mark, catapulting the company into the list of Top 500 Philippine Corporations. In 1987, barely 10 years in the business, the company joined the ranks of the Philippines' Top 100 Corporations. It then became the first Philippine fast food chain to break the P1 billion sales mark in 1989. In 1993, Jollibee became the first food service company to be listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange; thus broadening its capitalization and laying the groundwork for sustained expansion locally and beyond the Philippines.

Jollibee is the Philippine's leading fast food chain. The size, geographic expanse and breadth of the company's operations have grown exponentially - from a handful of Jollibee stores twenty-eight years ago to over 570 stores in the Philippines and 27 international stores in countries like the United States, Hong Kong and Brunei. It is now an international brand with phenomenal milestones.
